近日，黄健中执导的古装大戏《母仪天下》在云南、安徽等大卫视热播，桑叶红更是担纲片中核心角色反一号“傅昭仪”。
剧中的“傅昭仪”眉目平和，唇角微扬，长长的羽睫微微垂落，像一只凤蝶轻轻的敛了翅膀，柔美沉静中隐现威严华贵之气。在这部女人戏中，由袁立饰演的王政君与桑叶红饰演的傅瑶成为全剧的核心人物，戏份最重。
桑叶红曾经在黄健中导演的《张大千》中有过上佳表现，也给黄导留下了深刻的印象。这也自然促成了他们此次的“二度合作”。对于桑叶红在《母仪天下》的表演，导演黄健中更是赞不绝口，他认为，傅瑶这个人物集千娇百媚于一身，不仅对演员的外形要求严苛，表演起来尺度也很难把握，桑叶红无论是外形还是气质都让人感觉很惊艳，尤其是她的古装造型更是让人惊为天人，另外她对角色内心的把握也很到位，眼神的信息传达也很精准，她对表演有天生的敏感度，收放自如，一看就是一个当演员的“好材料”。
